Pink Room

Pretty Pink Guest Room

Over the weekend we had house guests. My step-brother, Guy and his wife, Alice stayed with us on Saturday and Sunday nights. Larry and I have been racing to clear out, clean and spruce-up our "guest room." Usually, this room is the room where we stow all of our junk in order to clear other rooms in the house. Eventually, this room will be a sewing and yarn room for me, in addition to the guest room.
I decided to have the room painted a soft pink color. We still need to paint the trim white, but I think the pink gives the room a lovely glow, even though it may be a bit girly. Remember these pillows? They look fantastic paired with our serapes used as bedspreads and a few afghans thrown on each bed.
There is a lot of re-organizing and shelf-building to be accomplished before this room will serve as a sewing and yarn room, but we're finally on our way!

Thanks, Guy and Alice for giving us the push we needed. Also, thanks for being such great houseguests. We had a wonderful weekend.

Gee like the Nelsons , the Cleavers or the Ricardos:

separate beds for married folk in your guest room!!!!! With a night stand in between! i guess the Mertz's would approve.

Only separate beds for married folks who don't appreciate the intimacy of doubling up, lol.

Ellen, I think this is fabulous. I really like the wall color, and I'm not even a big fan of pink. I'm assuming this means you're keeping both afghans (you should).

Love it to bits.

Love the look from the pink walls to the fab-ghans and the serapes. It looks festive and homey at the same time.

Ellen!! It's fabulous! I would stay here! You could open a B and B now. The babette absolutely needed pink walls. Well done. I hope your guests had a nice stay. Lori

Love the Babette & the pillows with the serapes. Brilliant! It looks like the perfect Crafting B&B room.
The pink works, it's not all Barbie Girl-ish at all.
